Live In Nannies

  • Accommodation and food provided by family / client
  • A normal working day for live in nannies would be up to 12 hours a day - 5 days a week.
  • Live in Nannies will baby sit 2 nights per week as part of their contract. If extra baby-sitting is required, employers will have to pay extra (between £7-£8 an hour)or give time off in lieu.
  • Your nanny is entitled to 4 weeks paid holiday (terms to be agreed between you and your nanny)
  • Live in nanny salary: £ 300 - £370 + net a week

Live out Nannies

  • Live out nannies / Daily Nannies travel to you / your family every day on their own expenses
  • A normal working day for a live out/ daily nanny would be 10 hours a day- 5 days a week.
  • Babysitting possible by negotiation, but needs to be paid extra
  • Part itme live out nannies can charge you hourly anywhere between £8 - £12 an hour or £80 - £120 net a day.
  • Your nanny is entitled to 4 weeks paid nanny-holiday
  • Live out nanny salary: £400 - £500 + net a week

Part time Nannies

  • Usually live out nannies
  • Nanny hours or days are to be agreed between client and candidate. 
  • Babysitting possible after agreement
  • Part time nanny salary: anywhere between £8 - £12 an hour or £80 - £120 net a day
  • Holiday terms to be agreed between client and the nanny.

Overseas Nannies

  • With overseas nannies the employer is responsible for the nanny's return flight, taxes and medical insurance
  • Employers are able to interview our nanny candidates in person before offering employment. However, in circumstances where an interview is not possible, the employer can interview the nanny over the phone, or arrange an online webcam interview.
  • Nannies overseas need to get a minimum of 1 day a week off - preferably 2 full days.
  • Salaries for overseas nannies may vary, as they are willing to leave their home country and move permanently overseas, their salaries normally start on £100 and more per day.
  • Overseas nannies are entitled to 4 weeks paid holiday

Nannies are normally asked to work from Monday to Friday, with weekends free. If you require your nanny to work at the weekend, she should be given 2 full days free during the week and at least 1 weekend per month. All our nannies must agree to undertake the CRB check, they are personally interviewed and all their references are checked before they get registered with Royal Nannies. 

All nannies are entitled to 4 weeks paid holiday plus paid bank holidays! The employer should be given at least 3 weeks notice of any holiday to be taken.
